S.R.Baruah, IRS (Retd.)
S.R.Baruah has over 35 years of experience as an Indian Revenue Service officer ( Customs and Indirect Taxes) and has served in various capacities across the country including Custom Houses in Delhi, North-East region (Shillong), Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai. He has served as Commissioner of Customs, Delhi Airport and Air Cargo complex; Chief Commissioner of Customs, Kolkata; Director General of Directorate General of GST Intelligence; Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai; and Principal Director General of DG Systems & Data Management in C.B.I.C. and Principal Director General of NACIN (National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics). He has also served in the Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry for almost 5 years. He has wide experience in the fields of Customs, GST and Central Excise compliances and dispute resolution.
He holds a Masters degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University and LLB from Gauhati University. He also did a management course at IIM Calcutta.
Dr. Rini Choudhury
Dr. Choudhury is an eye surgeon with over 30 years experience in her medical profession. She has keen ingterest in environmental and social issues and is a founder member of an NGO dealing with skilling and promotion of weaving and handloom products in North-East India.
Prerona Ray Baruah
Prerona Ray Baruah is a Computer Science Engineer who worked at the SAP Headquarters in Walldorf, Germany for 6 years. She did her Masters in Computer Science Engineering from Technical University of Munich, Germany.
Rajkumar Bora
General insurance industry veteran with over 35 years of experience in various leadership roles. Was a key contributor to the growth of a leading insurance company from inception to a GWP of Rs 10000 crore. An alumnus of SRCC, Delhi School of Economics and Lancaster University Management School, he believes in mentoring young minds.

Inamul Islam
Inamul Islam is a Legal Consultant, Adviser and Practitioner.
He has a vast experience of over 35 years in the legal field, especially in the oil and gas sector. He began practicing law in 1988 for about 4 years, initially, in the Supreme Court and later in the Gauhati High Court and district courts, before joining Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). He is the former Chief Law Officer of Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India and also the former Chief of Legal Services, ONGC.
He has an expertise in litigation management, resolution of disputes (arbitrations, court cases, conciliation) and Advisory matters (drafting, vetting of legal documents, legal advice on various issues) involving various legal issues especially in the oil and gas sector. He was involved in various negotiations, due diligence and drafting of various documents – HoA, MOUs, CA/NDA, Bidding and Collaboration Agreements, PSC, RSC, JOA, FOA, etc. and various policies of the Govt. on oil and gas-related matters including on Commercial matters, Service law, Tenders & Contracts, Corporate laws, Land Acquisition, Trusts, gas marketing, etc.
Santanu Sakia, IRS (Retd.)
Former Chief Commissioner of Income Tax.
B.Tech (Electrical Engineering), M.Tech (Systems and Management Studies), IIT Delhi Santanu Saikia, IRS (Retd.), is a retired senior officer of the Indian Revenue Service with over 30 years of experience in tax administration. A graduate in Electrical Engineering and a postgraduate in Systems and Management Studies from IIT Delhi, he brings a unique blend of technical knowledge and administrative expertise. He joined the Income Tax Department in 1990 and held key positions across Chennai, Guwahati, and Mumbai. His core areas of specialization are assessment and investigation, with a long and impactful tenure in the Investigation Wing. He played a pivotal role in detecting tax evasion and enhancing the mobilization of revenue. Mr. Saikia retired as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in 2023. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Assamese, and continues to pursue his interests in badminton and astronomy. As member of this platform, he offers deep insights into taxation and public policy—built on a career defined by integrity, hardwork and expertise.
Jyotirmoy Pathak
Jyotirmoy Pathak holds a Master’s degree in Bio-Nano Material Science and Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Assam Agricultural University, India.
His academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of agriculture and nanotechnology, with a focus on sustainable solutions for crop health management. His research involved the development of a copper-based Metal-Organic Framework for controlled release of fungicide to manage rice blast disease, with the objective of reducing chemical use and enhancing efficiency in agricultural practices. He has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in the fields of sustainable nanotechnology, agriculture, and environmental science. He has also presented and participated in several international conferences and seminars related to sustainability, water management, and green innovation. His skills include laboratory instrumentation, scientific writing, research communication, and project coordination.
Jyotirmoy has worked in research and consulting capacities, including his role as Consulting Assistant Manager for a carbon emission standardization and solar project at WTS LLP and as Team Leader in an Agro-Biodiversity and Sustainable Agriculture project supported by UNDP SGP TERI. He has also served as a Lab Assistant at AIT’s Centre of Excellence in Nanotechnology, contributing to laboratory research in nanomaterials and environmental applications.
Jyotirmoy is currently engaged in areas related to environmental sustainability, nanotechnology applications, and carbon emission reduction.
